The DVD Libraries

"Cinema for the Sahrawi People" has created four DVD libraries, each located in one of the four refugee camps: Dakhla, Auserd, Layounne and Smara.

The libraries provide the refugee camps with year-round access to films, projectors and screens. They are stocked with fiction and documentary films, from entertainment to social and educational films. The libraries receive new materials year-round.

The project includes training local personnel in inventory and in the proper care and storage of the DVD's. Each DVD library is community-run.
